Wireline (Q) Series Drill Rods Compatible with Long-year design.

We manufacture wireline rods manufactured from the highest quality steel tubes SAE 1040 / 1541 / 4130 and certify the physical and chemical properties as per BS 4019, DCDMA & Swedish Standard. Wireline rods can be supplied with either Chrome plating or Induction hardened as required.

British Standard (W) Drill Rods

Drill rods are manufactured to two standards the 'W' Series (EW, AW, BW, NW, HW) and the old series (E, A, B, N). The 'W' Series rods have a larger outside diameter, an increased inside diameter and are more rigid than the 'Old' Series. MMT drill rods are manufactured from premium cold drawn seamless steel tube. Couplings are machined from heat treated alloy steel to withstand wear and stress to which they are prone.

Standard 'W' and 'X' Series rods are flushed-coupled and a coupling is supplied with each rod length. Drill Rod Tube are Parallel Wall, Cold Drawn, Internally or Externally Upset or Shrunk and Welded as required.

All these rods confirm to BS 4019, DCDMA & Swedish Standards.

'X' Series Casing

Every flush-coupled casing has a box thread at both ends and is connected by a pin to pin coupling. This allows replacement of couplings when pin threads become worn or damaged. Each length of casing is supplied with one coupling. Left hand threaded casing can be supplied on request.

'W' Series Casing

Flush-joined casing has a heavier wall section and an integral pin and box threading. Jointed casing makes up flush on both the inside and outside diameters. The heavier wall section provides internal and external mating shoulders for the threaded portion to butt providing twice the contact area and helping to prevent the threads from climbing under heavy torque loads. Standard casing drive shoes, tungsten carbride insert shoes,bits,casing plugs and casing clamps are generally available ex-stock.
